This FNL demonstration took place on 20 December 1972. According to the photographed poster the following organizations were named as organizers of the demonstration: The Solidarity Committee for Indochina, the Communist League – Young Socialists and Revolutionary Marxists Federation (RMF, Trotskyists). Since it was winter it was of course dark when the demonstartion started at 16:30 as announced on the poster. In Malmö it is dark by three o´clock in the afternoon in december.
The film used was Ilford HP4. Ilford’s films were considered to give sharper images because they had a thinner plastic base. I have corrected exposure and contrast on these pictures as well and added the “clarity” and “vibrance” in Lightroom that is the program I use for image processing so that the pictures will be sharper on the web. This film is in good condition except a few scratches and a nick.
